Every MARÉVA piece is carefully hand-finished in Paris using natural materials chosen for their beauty, texture and movement. Like all objects crafted from nature, each hat will develop its own unique character over time. With thoughtful care, your MARÉVA companion will remain beautiful season after season.
FEATHERS
NATURE'S SIGNATURE
Each plume is a genuine ostrich feather, selected from one of the world's finest feather ateliers—the same supplier trusted by renowned institutions including the Moulin Rouge and the Rio Carnival. Chosen for their exceptional softness, movement and volume, every feather is naturally unique, making each MARÉVA hat one of a kind.

NATURAL VARIATIONS
As each plume is entirely natural, subtle variations in shape, curl, density and colour are to be expected. These characteristics are not imperfections, but part of the individuality that makes every MARÉVA piece unique.

AFTER THEIR JOURNEY
Your MARÉVA hat may arrive with the feathers gently compressed after their journey.
Carefully unpack your hat and allow the feathers to breathe and naturally regain their volume overnight. A gentle breeze will often restore their signature movement on its own. If desired, you may also lightly fluff the feathers by hand, or use a hairdryer on a cool or low setting while gently lifting the plumes.
Within a short time, they will return to their soft, airy silhouette.

WATER
The feathers should be kept dry and protected from rain, swimming and excessive humidity.
Should they become wet, allow them to air dry naturally. Once completely dry, gently restore each plume by pinching the tip and running your fingers smoothly towards its base. This will help each feather recover its natural movement and fullness.

NATURAL SHEDDING
Like all genuine feathers, occasional shedding may occur, particularly after travel, packing or during the first few wears.
This is entirely natural and does not affect the beauty or longevity of your MARÉVA piece.

STATIC
Static is a natural characteristic of genuine ostrich feathers and may occasionally occur, particularly in dry climates or during the winter months.
In most cases, it will naturally disappear as humidity returns. If desired, a very light mist of an anti-static spray formulated for delicate natural materials may be applied from approximately 50 cm away. Use only a fine mist and avoid oversaturating the feathers, as excessive moisture may affect their natural shape and movement.

TRAVELLING
Whenever possible, we recommend travelling in your MARÉVA hat rather than packing it. Wearing it allows the feathers to retain their natural movement and volume throughout your journey.
When packing is unavoidable, place your hat inside its cotton dust bag, avoid placing heavy objects on top, and unpack it as soon as you arrive. Allow the feathers time to breathe and naturally regain their airy silhouette before wearing.

Each MARÉVA hat is woven from a carefully selected blend of natural and performance fibres, chosen for their natural texture, exceptional resistance to creasing, and durability. Designed to accompany many summers to come, each hat retains the organic character and subtle variations that make natural materials so beautiful.

CLEANING
Spot clean only using a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Avoid soaking the hat or using harsh cleaning products.

IRONING
Thanks to its resilient woven construction, your MARÉVA hat should not require ironing.
Avoid applying heat or steam directly to the woven fibres.

THE BRIM
Each brim is finished with a discreet premium wire embedded within its edge, allowing you to gently shape and personalise its silhouette.
Whether you prefer a flatter profile or a more dramatic curve, simply adjust the brim by hand until it feels just right.
DUST BAG
MADE FOR THE JOURNEY
Every MARÉVA hat is accompanied by its own cotton dust bag, hand-adorned with leather detailing.
Designed to protect your hat during storage and travel, it helps preserve the softness and volume of the feathers while keeping dust away between adventures.
We recommend placing your hat inside the dust bag whenever packing it in a suitcase.

CARE
The dust bag may be hand washed using a mild detergent.
Allow it to air dry completely before storing your hat again.
